The South Africa World cup 2010 successfully finished last week. Spain soccer team won their first world cup trophy defeating Netherland whose team has also never won first place at the world cups but stayed runner-up two times by the score of one to zero. This firstly held Worldcup in Africa, various eye-catching things such as Vuvuzela, one of the traditional instruments in South Africa, many of wrong decisions made by umpires, fortunetelling octopus either attracted or disappointed soccer fans all over the world. First thing is the Vuvuzela. A South Africa’s trumpet, made awful sound in all the games. This was recorded up to 140 decibels when spectators play together even causing the possibility of hearing loss of people.

It was all over the headlines on the news, even in America since the US advanced to the second round (I think for the first time in history), so there were also some Americans watching the World Cup. I really believe that soccer is the most popular sport in the world because almost all nations are watching. I tried watching a soccer game, it was exciting too. I agree with you though that the trumpets (I didn't know they were called "Vuvuzela", only after I read your composition) were a bit annoying.
