This assignment was supposed to transform the verb into the future perfect. However, I wonder if there is different meaning between the future tense and future pefect, such as "will arrest" and "will have arressted". In the sentence (3) above, if we put just the future tense "will write", then is it ungrammatic? If not, let me know how different between the verb "will write" and "will have written" in the sentence (3) above, briefly please. I guess there seems to be a meaning "finish" into "will have written". In other words, I guess that "They will have written their essay by tomorrow." means that they finished somehow in tomorrow. is that right?
