Funeral Sermon 1

My friends, God is with all of us today, no matter what. No matter what we have gone through. No matter what we are experiencing. God is with all of us today in this place. Today, we are here to honor and remember the life of Name. One of the ways to work through our hurt and pain in losing a loved one is to share stories remembering the person and the positive difference that they made in this world. We know that Name was not a perfect person. But we also know that he/she touched many of our lives. Name was a lifelong member of Henderson UMC. He devoted his life to Jesus through the community of Henderson. He was a good Christian, friend husband, father and grandfather. Pastor Esther is going to share more stories and memories about his life. Today in the midst of our sadness and we can take comfort in the fact that we know that NAME is with Jesus, and when all is said and done that is all that matters in life.
