We Koreans have prepared for cold winter in many ways. Gimjang is one of things for winter. However, nowadays, the number of houses that make gimjang is declining. Some farmers can harvest cabbages in winter through green houses farming. And the cost of making gimjang is increasing every year because of inflation. Still, gimjang is one of our important cultures and preparing gimjang has some advantages. So, our family and neighbors make gimjang annually.
