Has your standard of living changed over the years? For the better/worse?
학생이 쓴 원문
I think my standard of living must have changed in a better way over the years, although I don’t feel the change much. I believe that in other people’s eyes, my life has improved. Comparing to my old days, do I eat better food, drive a more expensive car, wear better cloths, live in a better place? My answer will be yes to some questions, but not to all of them. My income has raised over the years, but living expenses have also increased accordingly, which makes my disposal income remains almost the same as before. I’ve saved some of them and invested in housing so that I cannot have extra money to spend on other stuff like clothing or any other leisure activities. However, thinking about my childhood, my standard of living has changed dramatically. I lived in poverty. I could eat Ramen or bread on a special occasion. I had to go to my friend’s house to watch TV because there was no TV at my home. It was unthinkable to have healthy three means a day. A lot of things changed.
