I think there are 2 reasons why people do some strange gestures when they feel extreme emotions. First, they do the strange gestures naturally. For me, i do the gestures naturally when i feel extreme emotions such as clappping my hands, shaking my each hand with tapping my foot on the floor. I don't know why i do those gestures. Haha. Second, they do it because they've seen people who did that gestures. It means they mimic them. Actually it's not like mimic but they saw that gestures a lot and the gestures become to their own gestures. Does it make sense?
