It\'s really nice to see how interested you are to learn English. I really like my students to have the same behavior as your when it comes to studying! ^^ Yes! What do you expect now a days? ^^ Everything is expensive!! ^^ Don\'t worry it\'s worth it! What\'s really important is that you would  be able to have a blast when you get there! Just keep learning English for the remaining time you have. ^^ 

Would is an auxiliary verb, a modal auxiliary verb. We use would mainly to talk about the past,  talk about the future in the past,  and express the conditional mood.
We also use would for other functions, such as, expressing desire, polite requests and questions, opinion or hope, wish and regret. Don\'t get confused James. ^^ Here are some examples: 

Would in the future past: 

He left 5 minutes late, unaware that the delay would save his life.

Would in conditionals: 

If I had won the lottery I would have bought a car.

Would in polite request: 

Would you open the door, please?
