helping a foreigner

Last summer, I met a foreigner from China on the way home. I figured he was going to Korean traditional market, but he lost his way on his journey. He came to me and talked to me. He wanted me to show him the way to get to the market. I was embarrassed for a moment, because I have almost never been talking to any foreigner, and my English was very bad then. But, I gathered myself up, and told him slowly, "Go straight on. Walk over two block, and you won't miss it. It will take about 10 minutes." I spoke in poor English then. But, I felt really great. :)
