It means the first hottest day in summer. we have three days 'cho-bok','jung-bok' and 'mal-bok' during the summer. Interval of them may be ten days roughly. Korean have special healthful food 'sam-gye-tang'(like a chiken soup) in this day. As we eat special food don't cath a hot. It's the time-honored tradition.
