Do you think a boy should pay for everything on a date? WHy? Why not? 'Gender rule" is always hot-potato in everywhere, especially in Korea. Korea has been influenced with "Confucian idea" for a long time. According to Confucian idea, rules are set depending on a gender. A man should make his family happy at first, lead his country and rule the world. And a woman should take care of her husband and offspring. These are fundamental rules of the gender in Confucian idea. So it is common for men to pay for everything on a date. But Korea began to be affected by Individualism and Feminism, which let Korea escape from old tradition. The traditional rules of gender are being broken and circumstances of economic, social are going to pursue equality nowadays. So young people in Korea try to pay half and half on a date and if there is a woman who let him pay all, then she would be easy to get blamed. And ordinary men should pay his 2 years for country, so women tend to make money more.
