What was the biggest amount you lend someone? Where you able to get your money back?
--> In fact, I have rarely lent money to anyone other than my family.
Lending $1,000 to a friend once is the only one experience of lending money to someone.
When I happened to visit her house, I heard a call she was trying to borrow about $1000 from a loan company.
I said I\'d lend her that money instead because she had to pay back a very high interest if she borrowed it there.
She returned me about six months later with some money and her son\'s gold necklace.

You are a very merciful friend. With a premise that your friend is also a very good person, you have lent her. Six months is quite a long while however, you trusted that she will return that amount. If I were you, I would get worried about my money. ^^
Anyway, thanks for sharing this information. I also lend money only to trusted people. At times, I just give them some money instead of lending them as a form of help.
