Altruism is a way of sacrificing oneself for the others. It gives almost nothing superficially, but many have done to others. An example of this is the meerkat, which shouts when its predator appears so that others can run away. I've actually helped the poor and it gave me a great experience. Thanks for making your TOEFL writing homework. You actually did a good job. Be careful with the instruction though, it is actually 300 words not 300 letters. But other than that, you did a fantastic job grammar wise considering that this is your first time to answer one. You deserve a round of applause ^^ Here are some tips to help you improve:

1. Try to answer the following as much as possible: How, who, when, where and what. 

2. Practice typing in English. It will save you a lot of time especially when taking a TOEFL iBT test. 

3. Jot down important pointers about the article.
