I agree that learning foreign languages is competitive in society. Because Korean society is getting more and more globalize and many foreigners are living in Korea now. Learning English also, can help me to make them friends.(YOU became my FRIEND, right?:)) Especially, most important thing is that English is very useful approaching to much information! As you know, translating new texts and information into Korean wastes so much time. Whenever the Harry Potter series came out, I couldn’t wait the book translated. And now I’m preparing studying abroad, so learning other languages is more important than before. Even though there are so many bright sides to studying English, but sometimes I feel very burdened. Definitely it’s unfair that most people obsess about only Toeic exam grade. One of my friends can’t gain a scholarship because she couldn’t get a good grade on Toeic examination. Some students can’t say in English, although they got a perfect score on exam! I think it’s humiliated.
