“The customer is always right.” It is a wrong statement. there are always people who are out of line. Do we need to put up with them just because they are the customers? Just because they would take or already took our products or service that doesn’t mean they can demand anything. Also i believe this saying was coined from a management’s side who only cares about profit. However, keeping this attitude will only harm their business in the long run by making their employees unhappy which eventually leads them to provide poor service. For example, i worked in a customer service centre before. Employees were trained not to offend customers in any circumstances. It was very stressful to deal with rude and abrasive customers nicely. Sometimes i felt even resentment at the way I have been treated. This kind of situation makes employees unhappy, causing lousy customer service.
