I wrote other paragraph for presentation~ These three folktales described about the human's excessive desire. In the first story <The Stonecutter>, the old stonecutter desired strong power more and more, and he became several creatures because it's more powerful than he was before. However he realized power always is lelative and there is no absulute power. So he learn to be satisfied his own ability, then he did't compare it with other's. In the next folktale entitled <The Pardoner's Tale>, there drunkards desired to own gold coins only himself, and they killed each others. The last story is <The Myths of Pandora's box> and the main character, Pandora has insatiable curiosity. She didn't bear the curiosity about the box after all she opened it. Claudianus said "He who desires is always poor." I agree with him. Human's greeds are endless, but it also essence of man. So we have to put the desires be ruled by reason, and it is good for us to have self-gratification.
