It's mean, they must used the power. example cutting the tree, doing the farmwork, carrying the tree or something, climb up the mountain..... So they wanted to have a son tho strong. But now (present), many pepole want to have a daughter. Beacuse daughter can act charming, help the housework. And daughter is more serve one's parents wirh devotion than son. However this is just my relatively, subjectively opinion.^^
