Hello, teacher. If you don't mind it, I'd like to ask you to review my some compositions. Below is the first part of my presentaion. At the beginning of this chapter, Brian Barry tries to correct some misunderstandings about (egalitarian) liberalism. Charles Taylor, one of the most well-known communitarians, complains that egalitarian liberalism is inhospitable to difference, and calls it 'difference-blind liberalism'. It is quite incorrect in that egalitarian liberalists are very interested in the differences such as rich and poor, well-educated and ill-educated and so on, whereas it is correct in that they are not that interested in culture. Barry certainly appears to get more attentive to 'inequity' and 'justice'. As for culture, he quotes Peter Jone as saying, "if we seek to deal fairly with cultural diversity, it is not cultures that will be the ultimate objects of our concern but the people who bear them."
