After decades of enforcing the one-child policy, China is now going to allow two children per couple. This is in order to provide a huge economic boost for China and prevent it from developing into an ageing society. What do you think about this? I welcome the new policy of China which enables the Chinese people to have one more child, when comparing to the previous policy. However, I think the purpose of this policy is undesirable. As announced by the Chinese government, this policy was not designed because of the people's freedom to have their baby, but of China's economic growth including the concerns of an ageing society. As the Chinese government expected, the economic development would be boosted thanks to their new policy. However, I am not sure whether this policy would make their people live a better lives than before or not.
