I will study political history of Joseon Dynasty this semester.^^ Jeong Do-jeon's work, 'A' is well known for emphasizing the role of subjects in politics. The eariler studies have interpreted his another work, 'B' as subordinate to 'A'. However, this article considers 'B' as an independent work from 'A', and explains Jeong Do-jeon's Confucian kingship theory stated in 'B'. As the Confucian moral kingship explains, a king is a key actor in traditional East Asian politics. Jeong Do-jeon published 'B', which pays attention to a king in politics, in 1397, the time of the founding of Joseon Dynasty. This work is a series of Jeong Do-jeon's political design along with the institutional theory in 'C' and the subjects theory in 'A'. Through these three works, he designed a vassal state in Chinese world order as a political structure, by reflecting East Asian Confucian Classics and historical records.
