I actually think the same as you. Helping is good but the person you are helping should do something to help himself first. You\'re right, if rich countries just give money to poor countries it might make them lazy. They\'ll just depend on the help of these countries which is not good.

Rich countries are already capable to handle different kind of economic situations and they can help other countires that are in need for help.

Because if rich countries forgive all the debts for poor countries, governments and citizen of a poor countries could feel that they do not need to work hard or save money because somebody could do that for them.

Also they could take that for granted. So i think instead of forgiving debts, helping different way will be better.
