Compared to Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries, there were relatively less wars and conflicts while they enjoyed long peace era in the hierarchical order. Unlike the past European experiences; they intended to keep the peace through the balancing power among countries in Europe, ancient China and lots of neighboring small countries could coexist peacefully most of the time in the great power-oriented hierarchical order.
