When looking back my life, I have had a "now or never" moment several times. The most rewarding moment among them is to have applied for the Officers' English Course 35 years ago when I was captain in the army. As a junior officer I had a dream of going abroad. A 6 month-English course was newly established at that time. It was a "now or never" moment to upgrade my English capability. My success in the entrance exam should be attributed to my hard preparation for 3 months. I was able to learn English from native speakers for the first time. 15 years after finishing the course I could go abroad and stay in the US for a year. My dream came true in the end. I left my son who went to high school there when coming back home. He was able to graduate from high school for free and finish college there. How we grab and utilize the opportunity of a "now or never" moment is decisively significant for our and family's lives in the future. Sometimes our decision can end up with unexpected result.
