In general, I agree "Children should start learning a foreign language very early." However, we need to deliberate when children exactly start it. Some people argue that prenatal education on a foreign language is effective for unborn babies. That's why the parents try to let them listen to some language tapes or read them some foreign books. I don't believe whether it is really effective. When it comes to prenatal education, I think listening to some peaceful music and walking slowly are helpful for unborn babies to form stable psychology. To my experience from my son, it will be very effective for children to learn a foreign language after they can speak their native language fluently. Nowadays when children enter the elementary school, they are usually very good at speaking Korean. I am afraid that children who learn a foreign language too early stammer badly when speaking Korean. All early education doesn't live up to the expectation.
