One environmental problem is smog. Smog is caused by hydrocarbon vapors and nitrogen oxides in the presence of sunlight. It can effect your health by causing irritation to your eyes, lungs and chest. It can make you have a hard time breathing and damage your lungs. One way to solve this air pollution is using buses or subways instead of riding your own car. Using these transportations can save many fossil fuels such as coals to burn. Burning coals produce significant amount of smokes that cause air to get foggy. Burning fossil fuels also produce sulfur oxides and when sulfur oxides combine with air and water, it turns to sulfur acid which is the main gas that forms acid rain. Another environmental problem waste disposal. Many countries burn or toss plastics and trashes made from chemicals into the water without properly disposing it. Lots of plastic takes about 500years to disappear, so it is important to recycle and reuse as much as you can.
