In our company, we use Microsoft software(PowerPoint, Excel, Word...) and we share our files with colleagues. When I ask him to give me files about some works, he doesn't give me them right now, and although he give me files, it is PDF files. As you know, it is not easy to modify from PDF files. I don't understand why he does like that. When we get an information in the company, that is the company's asset not mine. In my case, when my colleague ask me to share my information, I always say yes and share the MS files with him. He was the man that I know insular acquaintance of mine.

Cheer up! I totally understand where your colleague is coming from. I feel I am like him. You have to take into account the effort he put in completing that and only to be used by someone else is kind of disheartening. Nonetheless, if it is for the company, he should learn how to share.
