Where does job satisfaction come from? Just to name a few, it seems to come from salary, a better working atmosphere, more challenges in job, job stability, extra holidays, the location of workplace, and so on. Needless to say, salary among them is the most decisive and important factor for job satisfaction. According to a survey on job satisfaction, more than two third of the respondents were dissatisfied with their salary, saying it wasn't in proportion to their workload. What's more, only 1% of them said they were overpaid. And more than half of them answered wage as a reason for their intention to change jobs. There must be a clear link between salary satisfaction and the intention to change jobs. Having said that, I can't completely agree that big salary is much more important than job satisfaction. I strongly recommended that youths have to choose their jobs based on their dreams, aptitude, and challenges. It's because my job is a crucial part of my whole life, and in fact I work not for an employer but for me.

Very well said, Sir!

While salary plays a vital role, we must also consider if it meets our self-actualization needs :)

A decade ago, my high school teacher told me to choose 3 things wisely: university major, job, and husband^^

Until now, hose are the things I still deliberately think about.
