One day I'll always remember is the day I helped a third grader solve his math problem. It was also the day that I realized that just memorizing formula of math was different from really understanding it. The third grader's homework was about calculating degrees of a triangle and a square. It was pretty easy for me, so I helped him with the homework. But when he said why, I didn't know what to say except that it was just what people found out after years of calculating. Then, he said "Prove it." and I couldn't. So I went home and googled it up. I found out that proving it was more way more complicated then just memorizing the degrees. From that day on, I try to find a way to prove mostly every math if it's not too complicated. Of course really understanding takes more time but when you memorize one thing that way, you don't easily forget because every formula becomes special to you. I think that day is the day that I found a way to study that suits me.
