I agree that metropolitan cities' traffic problems are serious. The problems are not only about traffic jam but also air pollution. However I still don't agree with the idea banning passenger cars. Those kind of outright ban can cause side effects and even can violate individuals' basic rights. Some people still want and need to use their own cars. For example, a physically challenged person might want to use his/her own car even if it takes more time to reach the destination due to traffic jam. I still might want to drive myself because I feel tired and don't want to seek an empty seat in a subway. There are other solutions to solve the problems caused by traffics. Government can use other methods which don't violate individuals' right but still can solve the problems like the 10th day no driving system or regulate diesel cars. Before using the drastic methods like banning passenger cars, government should try other solutions.
