When I visited a photo studio a couple of months ago, I witnessed that a young man's ID picture was being photoshopped and altered. With our modern technology way developed, news channels like CNN using a lot of videos and photographs when telling the news. As mentioned above, it is not that difficult for experts to photoshop them and affect our knowledge of the true news. In fact, they can fill the TV screen with just ten people and manipulate it as if a huge crowd is going on a strike out there. As for newspapers, manipulating by photoshopping pictures is much easier compared to TV. Every newspaper publishing company has its unique fixed opinion and political view. They try to keep pursuing it by obscuring or brightening something on purpose. Generally, we've come to expect that photographs reveal the truth of events, but we have to remember that pictures and even videos can be severely changed and manipulated. Having said that, how could we read a newspaper without pictures in it? Newspapers should use photographs to make pages more attractive, to tell the news more clearly and to let readers know what people, places and things look like. Therefore, the importance of pictures in newspapers cannot be too emphasized.
