I agree that listening is more important to communicate well with other people than speaking. Fascinating talking skill seems fancy but listening well should come first. I didn't know that before so I made many mistakes when I was young. For example, when my friend told her problems and asked my advice, I focused on how to speak rather than to listen and understand her saying. I talked quite a lot and I thought I was helping her with my creative thoughts and advices. Later I found out I misunderstood the facts and just told her what I wanted to say. I'm quite sure I wasn't helpful at all and made her be annoyed. Many parents and children are having a hard time to have real conversation and I also think that the reason is not listening but just talking parents. Not only between friends and family members but also all other areas, listening is the first step to understand other people and it makes us communicate well and efficiently.
