It depends on how much time you will spend for something. People usually say substance is much more important than style. I generally agree with it. Because even if something or someone look fancy and nice at first, people will realize the substance later. However I personally think just showing good style is sometimes more effective and gives good result. Now a days, many things are instant and people are forced to make quick decisions. If I don't have enough time to prove good substances, I can just sugarcoat something and show it off. Of course this method will not work when people need enough time to judge or want to make serious decisions. Therefore my strategy is usually showing off sugarcoated appearance and making good substance only for serious things and people.
