People usually interpret this saying as hard working and constant focusing on a subject make people succeed. It means people usually put strength on 99% of perspiration. I personally focus on 1% of inspiration though. If someone really work hard to achieve something, that person might reach to the 99% level of succeed. However if the person doesn't have 1% of inspiration, he/she would fail to reach 100% percent of accomplishment. In many cases, 99% of perspiration is usually enough. I think some special fields like art and sports only allow people who have 1% inspiration to succeed in the end. Because in those fields, one genius is worth than thousands of other average people. Common people will not be like so called genius like Van Gogh or Messi even if they try so hard. Therefore my strategy is focusing on a field which I might have inspiration rather than trying to work hard in other fields which I can't be at the top in the end.
