Being idealistic and practical both have own benefits. I think in daily life, being practical is more helpful though. Because even if I want to pursue being idealistic, I can't achieve my goals alone. People usually interact with other people and it means there are many external factors. This is why people who are being idealistic fail to meet their goals. However if I choose to be practical, it's usually more easy to live in this real world. I don't mean being idealistic is always not useful. Idealistic thoughts can make real changes with long term view. I think mixing idealistic ideas and attitude is needed when I set a goal at first. Being idealistic also often gives hope and energy when people are encountered with obstacles.
