I think people should always have their own views of right and wrong. I don't mean that people have to always follow their own view against crowd though. I admit that following the crowd is an easy, simple and sometimes practical choice to individuals. Even when an individual choose to follow the crowd against his/her own view, sometimes it could be a better choice to the person. In an extreme situations like a middle of revolution, people can choose to be silent and not be against with crowds to save their own life. In my opinion, if a person actively think and choose to follow the crowd, then it's a still autonomous attitude. Furthermore, crowds often make irrational or wrong decisions. If individuals don't have their own opinion about right or wrong, no one can make the situation be correct. Individuals having their own opinions are necessary to make societies stay healthy. These are why I think determining one's own view of right and wrong is better than just following the crowd.
