My wife and I have once traveled to Myanmar to meet my brother-in-law who had been living there more than 10 years.
With him, I visited a missionary school which a Korean benefactor established
and was operating.
The free boarding school was offering more than 50 Myanmar's students opportunities to learn the Bible and Christian theology and foreign languages with how to play musical instruments.
The school was being operated by volunteers whom most of them were Koreans from music teachers to the Bible teachers.
The volunteers including the principal were all full of sense of duty for spreading the Gospel.
To my knowledge, the KOICA(Korean International Cooperation Agency) has helped out many developing countries in the world with financial and practical aid and human resources.
We have so often heard, "Don't give the poor just fish, but teach them how to fish."
I absolutely agree with this norm, but bread and water should first be given to the famished.
And then we need to buy fishing tools for them and teach them how to fish.
I'm sure that the missionary school mentioned above was implementing practical aid to Myanmar's poor youths.

HELLO MR. [이름],
Thank you for sharing your experiences in Myanmar.
I am happy and blessed to know that there are many Koreans who do volunteer works to help the less fortunate.
I hope that there will be many saved people in the world.
Long live for all the volunteers!
