I think to be unique and different is more valuable than to fit in at least in Korean society. Because it's quite easy to be fit in if you just follow public education system and social atmosphere. In Korea, being unique and different is sometimes automatically considered as being socially maladjusted. Making social problems like committing crimes is not desirable. I don't think unique and different people always can't follow society's common sense though. Being unique and different people often make important change or at least provide tipping points. In my opinion, the best situation is that being unique and different people provide turning points in this society when changes are needed. It's not easy to express to be different with others in this society, to be unique and different would sometimes more valuable than following average standards.

My friend once told me that being perfect is boring.
The real definition of beauty and greatness is having the courage to be different and still stay confident about it.
To me, being unique is something that most people desire but are often too afraid to go after.
The society is a very crude judge and if you let it define who you are then you are no different from the others who have fallen as a prey.
Anyhow, that is point-of-view in this matter.
