I agree that established rules often narrows people's sight. Established rules are not always negative things to follow. In fact they are usually effective and convenient way when we have to make decisions. Established rules are made up with accumulated knowledge and previous experiences from many people. When we follow previous established rules without thinking, then established rules are too limited to guide in real-life situation. Because real-life situations are complicate and have various diversions. There are several heroic stories about how people solve the problems or escape dangers. In many of those stories, hero and heroine solved problems not following established rules. Therefore knowing some established rules are too limited to solve the real problem and choosing what to follow is needed.
