I hope that you are doing good today. I like the thoughts you have in answering your homework. Even me, I want to change some things about myself also but I\'m still glad with what I have and just like you, I will be putting effort to fill up the things I am inadequate at.

For your question about when to use \'THE\', here are my answers:

1. Use it to refer to something which has already been mentioned.

ex. Yesterday, I went to Seoul Shopping Centre to buy some noodles. THE GROCERY store offers cheap products.

( I used THE to refer to the grocery store since it was already mentioned on the previous sentence which was Seoul Shopping Centre.)

2. Use it when you assume there is just one of something in that place, even if it has not been mentioned before.

ex. We went on a walk in THE FOREST yesterday.

3. Use it in sentences or phrases where you define or identify a particular person or object.

ex. He is THE MAN I came to see.

4. Use it to refer to people or objects that are unique.

ex. THE SUN rose at 5:30 this morning.

      THE PRESIDENT will give a speech later on.

5. Use it before superlatives and ordinal numbers.

ex. This is [Name] HIGHEST BUILDING in New York. (superlative- highest)

      This is [Name] THIRD time I have called you today. (ordinal- third)

6. Use it with adjectives, to refer to a whole group of people.

ex. THE FRENCH enjoy cheese.

      THE ELDERLY needs special care.

7. Use it with decades.

ex. He was born in THE SEVENTIES.

      This is a painting from THE 1820\'s.

8. Use it with clauses introduced by \'only\'.

ex. You are THE ONLY PERSON he will listen to.

      THE ONLY TEA I like is green tea.

9. Use it with proper nouns:

- geographical areas, rivers, mountains, group of islands, oceans.

ex. Our ship crossed THE PACIFIC OCEAN.

- with countries that have plural names.

ex. I have never been to THE NETHERLANDS.

- with countries that include the words \"republic\", \" kingdom\" or \"states\" in their names.

ex: She is visiting THE UNITED STATES.

- with newspaper names and famous buildings.

ex. Have you seen THE NAMSAN TOWER?

     I read THE NEW YORK TIMES today.

-with the names of the families but not the names of individuals.

ex. THE SMITHS are coming tonight.

I know \'THE\' used to countless nouns and in front of special tings again to call
