I think plastic surgery is a kind of cure of mental and sasfisfaction of appreance.
If someone think his/her nose is samll( actually nobody notices his/her nose is small), She will always think about her nose therefore she will think herself not good looking. But When she get plastic surgery, she will not think about nose anymore and more over she will be confident her looking.
Looking and appearance are very subjective matters.
