The gravest concern of releasing criminal informal is that there is no way to reverse the action when the criminal is later found innocent. Since public put less attention on the result of the trial, most of the innocent individuals can be labeled as people who committed heinous crimes. When there was less consideration of human rights, the picture of criminals was occasionally posted on the media. Under the belief of public interest, various officials disclosed detailed information. After people are mispresented as criminals, they face difficulties getting a job and there are some instances they cannot find a place to live because no one wish to be their neighbors. That is the reason why governments are asked to compensate in case of defamation because these people cannot be freed from bias and stereotypes from public and they can face difficulties continuing their livelihood in Korea. Accordingly, authorities must put extra care when disclosing information to public.
