How do children who have no brothers or sisters act?

Many choose to have more than one child, some choose to have none at all. Still others choose to have only one. The problem is that the only child is automatically stigmatized. They are often accused of being selfish and not social. Many have a stereotype view toward only children. When asked to describe personality characteristics of an only child, many people will respond negatively, indicating the presupposition that only children are spoiled brats. These children, or "little emperors" as they have been often called, are generally seen as spoiled monsters. However, many researches indicate otherwise. Only children are no worse in personality or achievement than their counterparts with siblings. Only children are also often seen as high-achieving, motivated, and successful. Being raised alone without brothers or sisters might make them self-centered and not care others because children with their brothers and sisters are naturally taught how to live with others.
