How do you evaluate success?

Success could be interpreted as getting a promotion at work or earning a lot of money. Many say that rich people, celebrities, famous politicians, scientists, or high profile persons are regarded as successful people. It is true that such social status or people’s perception is important and they could be a good indication of measuring success. No one calls a homeless person a successful person. However, I think success should be viewed somewhat differently. At work, we work hard to achieve something, we do not always succeed or sometimes fail. So our effort should be recognized regardless of the result. We tend to measure our success based on tangible results. We rely on a quantitative way to evaluate our performance. Our hidden efforts or quality of our work is sometimes overlooked. Even if we are not rich, we should be viewed as a successful person if we live in respecting others, contributing to our community, not hurting others, being honest, and being kind to our neighbors.

You are definitely right, Sir [이름]!

It is not all about money and fame.
It is about being a good person to others.

There are people who we can say that are really successful but they hurt their love ones or they are addicted to drugs.

We should be really keen in defining successful people.

Have a great day and weekend.

Happy Friday. ^^
