How do you maintain a good friendship?

Here are my corrections for you:

the most important thing is we should respect to our thinking and tendencies.

I\'ve still lost one of my best friends from our difference of personality.

I met him when I was middle school student and then we had made a lot of memories before we stop to keeping in touch.

He was a quite good friend but I don\'t want to meet him again actually.

we were too different and fought each other a lot of times.

Maintain a good friendship is very important but also meet good and respectful friend is more important I think.

So, in my opinion, meet a good person(to me) and respect each other is the way how to maintain a good friendship.
