How do you manage \"home sickness\"?

I am one of those who don\'t really have home sickness very much even when I am away from home for long time.
The reason I think I don\'t have it is probably because I was born and raised in a family where my father was so strict that I couldn\'t wait to move out and live by myself although my mother is nowhere near my father\'s strictness.
However, as time goes by, my father has become less strict and put efforts to transform himself to a even better person.
