How do you solve conflicts in working with others?

If I have a problem with colleagues, I try to have a conversation with them first, and listen to their side to understand their opinion and find a compromise.
I had that experience when I was working in cafe before.
The conflict was from different working style, our workplace always busy and have long queue. I thought serving menu with perfection and fast was important, and on the other hand, my co-worker was focused on conversation with customer.
There is no right and wrong on our working style, but we have conflict with each other\'s working style.
I tried to start conversation with her and explain each other\'s side, we both understand each other and sometimes follow other working style since that conversation.
