How do you think a person can become a good listener?

I think I am a bad litener, because I prefer to talk my story or I just want to do my work instead of just listening for someone\'s story. So this question made me sorry and think severly. I tend to not to hear my son\'s opinion first. I just talk what I want to talk to my son. So I was very sorry to my son. Now I have to practice to be a gook listener after writing this. I think a good listener have to have be an open-minded person. When we are ready to hear whatever, we can focus on the other person. And we have to have patience to someone. Because some people is too slow or too complicated to tell about what they want to talk. So just patience is the key to be a good listener. I will try to be a good listener for me and my people.
