According to my research, universities need to be accredited from bodies like the International Education Accreditation Council or align fully with the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED). Also, many universities do transnational education partnership and collaboration to ensure quality of education. For example, the ISCED developed by UNESCO provides a standardized classification system for education level and field. This system is mostly utilized in the European Union and allows for international comparison of educational programs and qualifications. ISCED has nine education levels ranging from level 0 represented by early childhood education to level 8 represented by doctoral or education level. ISCE mapping involves analyzing the content, duration and nature of education programs and qualifications to determine their corresponding ISCE level. This accreditation allows cross national comparability and a highly transparent educational system.
