How have smart phones changed communication?

It has been about a decade since the first smart phones appeared in the world and it has changed our life and communication a lot. The changes are either advantageous or disadvantageous. Firstly, when it comes to positive effect of smart phone on our communication, it makes us keep in touch with others easily. Cacao Talk or Naver Line is a great example of this. Thanks for these service, people can reach the person they want to talk with and it is possible for them to be able to get in touch with even foreigners. In other words, smart phone makes the scope of communication wider. Secondly, as for negative effect on communication, since people just are envolved in smart phone, they do not want to communicate with others. I also can see couples watching only their smart phone without saying anything. Seeing it, I think that smart phone has reduced communication among people, which is a pity. Therefore, I guess that smart phone has affected our communication positively and negatively.
