How important is it to keep in touch with people around you like friends and family?

I think that it is important for me to keep in touch with my friends and family because I love them so much, and I can know their daily life and how they have been. However, there is a difference between family and friends in terms of a number of contact. I am almost time with family while I cannot often meet my friends; thus, I do not often send a messege or call to my family, but I contact to friends. I have two group of friends; one is Korean friends, the other is foreigner group. I have studied in Japan and met many foreigner there. I was get along with them; so I wanted to know about them after leaving Japan. Though I am in Korea now and keep in touch with Korean friends more often, I also have contacted to them using Facebook, the social network service. Even though I am a little lazy person and contacting with family and friends often is not easy to me, I try to continue to contact with them as frequently as possible. since I know the importance of them.
