I believe that they don't need to know each other well before they get married. Firstly, it can't exist to know each other completely. I think even though my parents have lived together about 30years, they don't know each other entirely. If they do, they didn't need to argue because of understanding. Secondly, if they are human, they may get some problems after getting married. Though they sometimes fight, it is not big problem because it is normal phenomenon between couples, and they can solve by conversation and compromise. Lastly, they can meditate for them. I heard that the couples who have different personality live better than the couples who have same that. In my parent's experience, they have totally different personality and didn't know well before they got married, but they have filled each other their lack things. In summary, I think it's not important to know each other well before getting married.
